The signatories, including economist François Delorme and lawyer Marc-André Lechasseur, argue that the Rent Registry would facilitate transparency and rent regulation, and criticize the government's reluctance to use it despite its benefits in combating the housing crisis and stimulating greater economic vitality for Quebec in the long term by protecting the population's purchasing power and well-being.
